The Wedding

On their wedding night Jim and Taffie Olson of Waite Park, Minnesota decided to go for a Harley ride at their reception, she hopped on still wearing her wedding gown and Jim took off losing control and crashing. She broke her leg and wrist, and Jimmie went to the slammer for Drunk Driving. Did they get a Conjugal visit?

Wayne Carson 62 passed away Wednesday. He was one of the original
Knight Riders of Alto.

Services are:

Today. Saturday  12-2 at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home in Lowell.

A memorial will follow at a later date.

Called Clyde on Sunday and he is now home for good. They put his skull back on and he said his head looks like a baseball. Still has some therapy for his muscle tone, but other than that
he is doing great, and sounds great also.
 
 Mike and Denise, Bruizer from Arizona, Dan and a few others had visited in the
afternoon, and Mom was coming down from Michigan later in the day.
 
His brother and the kids have been there for him,  but he is "Still missing my Carla".
 
 I have attached the most current picture of Clyde and Carla I have. Taken on

I finally got a chance to talk to Clyde on the phone last weekend.
He was home for the day getting things in order and seeing the kids and grand
kids that have stood by him since the accident.

He still doesnt have his helmet (skull) back on yet; he even has the doctors calling it
the helmet. He was home relaxing and when they put it back on he will be
down for a while so he got a day pass.

He is going to buy a new Ultra but doesnt know when, he cant imagine a
life without the open road ahead.

Loves his friends who stood by him, but, misses his Carla.

I will be down there sometime in October to visit for a few days and
will let all know how things are doing, and maybe get a picture of his
crooked head.

I didnt mention this before but he had a lousy Sturgis trip...

Said he broke a clutch cable just outside Mitchell and every yuppy trailer
with a motorcycle that went by wouldnt stop to help. When the traffic
backed up he even asked a few if he could get his ride on a trailer and
someone ride theirs the rest of the way to Sturgis. Nobody Helped.

When they finally sent a trailer to pick him up the guy that brought the
trailer had a wooden leg from a scooter accident last year and couldnt help
put his bike on the trailer.

Again nobody would stop and help these two old men get a bike on a trailer.
Finally the traffic started backing up again and I guess he shamed a couple of
guys into stopping and helping them get his Ultra on the trailer.

FUCKING TRAILER QUEENS AND NEWBIES...
DOESNT ANYONE STOP AND HELP A DOWNED BROTHER ANYMORE...
NO; IT IS ALL ABOUT THEM.

Anyway he got home on Thursday and when I talked to him he said he
was back home with his best friend and couldn't wait to get on the road
with her and have a real vacation.

I have been to Sturgis 18-times, and its turned into a Yuppy fest....

Motorcyclist Beats Up Police Dog

Darryl Dunn of Braidwood, Illinois ran a red light, and made an improper turn on Main Street with his Sportster. When the police attempted to stop him, he led them on a 90mph five-mile chase to Braceville where stopped in the driveway of a friend and hid in a brush pile. The canine unit was called in after three warnings to come out, “Atom” the police dog was sent in and the Officers said they saw Dunn try to choke the dog. Eventually officers were able to pull Dunn out of the brush pile. Dunn was charged with felony aggravated fleeing and eluding police and misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license, attacking a police dog, resisting a police officer as well as other traffic violations. Atom hasn't shown any signs of permanent injury.

I remember when they custom made that back brace...

Fiberglass.... He had them put that David Mann "Easy Rider" poster in the fiberglass
and when he showed off the brace.... there it was.... pretty cool idea.. He is a nut.

I am sure that that flat side looks pretty funny.. someone should take a pic of that.

Sorry I couldnt stay longer than Thursday and Friday at the funeral, but had to get
back to Michigan... Those back to back 500+ rides arent getting any easier either.

Like I said will be down next month for a few days and hopefully we can share some
laughs this time, and a few more beers.

You guys are great for being with Clyde, he has great friends.

When he fell out of that tree here in michigan trying to get those "T" shots, and broke
his back, he wanted me to cut his windpipe so he could breathe... but I did the more
manly thing and rifled his pockets for the Mushrooms and ate them so he wouldnt go
to jail after that hospital stay.

Did the highway patrol finally find his cell phone?

I am going to try to get Charlie to come over from Rolla so we can have a
"Sheepster" party while I am down there.
